Welcome to The Bearded Bleepers

We’re a small group of five metal detectorists exploring the historic landscapes of Surrey. What began as a shared curiosity has become a deep passion for uncovering the hidden stories buried beneath our feet. Our mission is to discover the past and help landowners and local communities connect with the rich heritage of the land they live on.

From Roman relics and medieval hammered coins to Georgian silver and WW2 artefacts, every find adds a new piece to the puzzle of Surrey’s past. Many of our discoveries are officially recorded and logged with the Portable Antiquities Scheme, helping to build a wider picture of the people who once lived and worked this land.

We pay to detect on land, always working respectfully, responsibly, and with a passion for preserving both our finds and the land we detect on. If you’re a landowner and would like to learn more, see how we partner with landowners.

Subscribe to our YouTube channel for weekly videos, and follow us on our socials as we dig into Surrey’s buried history, one bleep at a time.
